We had a great weekend in Branson!!! We left on Thursday, leaving Taylor behind to travel to Branson with his basketball team on Friday for their tournament. The original reason we scheduled this weekend was we were invited to hear about a vacation time share and they would pay for the weekend for us. Of course, Roger and I decided before that we would NOT buy right now. The meeting was to last 2 hours - but 5 1/2 hours later we owned a time share!! We are very excited about this and we will get lots of use out of it. We are already planning our first trip for just Roger and I to go on.
Taylor's team played 3 games. They won their first one and lost the last two. The coach is Bill Stutz who's two sons are on the team also (both of them are 6'8'' and 6'11''). These were their first games of the season and still have a few kinks to work out.
On Saturday, we went to Silver Dollar City which had been closed for a few days to put up all their Christmas decorations and 4.5 million lights!!! It was beautiful and very festive and nice fall weather to walk around in. We are definately in the Christmas spirit already this year!! The kids were disappointed that all the water rides were closed down for the season. This is the first time we have been to SDC other than in the summertime.
