Family Christmas #1

Since the gifts under the tree were piling up, we decided to have our own family Christmas tonight (Friday) with just us 6. We had the kids open their stockings and then open all the gifts that were from any of us. This was to lessen the chaos for when my family comes over on Tues. night for our Christmas #3. Sunday morning we are heading to Hutchinson, KS to Roger's folks house for our Christmas #2. Their house will be busting at the seams with 20 cousins and the 14 adults that go with them. And then you throw in some aunts and uncles in the mix and you have a REAL housefull!!
Rogers favorite gift was a 16x20 SIGNED and framed picture of Chief's Larry Johnson! DeeDee was surprised by getting her first laptop! (won't get it in hand for another week or so). Taylor was pretty jealous since he has been wanting one but I told him and he couldn't get one before his mom did! He didn't agree with me. Brittany was thrilled with a digital camera and Dawson was excited about his robotic dinosaur - it's pretty cool. After trying to clean up the living room from all the trash we played a lively game of Twister - those of us that are pretty flexible have the advantage!
Our whole family wants to wish you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS as we celebrate Christ's birth. I went with the youth group on Wed. to see the movie, "The Nativity". What a touching way to start the season - maybe we could start a new tradition when it comes out on DVD.
I'll have to send pictures later......
