Brittany's Baptism

We celebrated in honor of Brittany's baptism at the restaurant of her choice - Winstead's. She requested that her Grandpa Lynch be the one to baptize her when he got back from China and before they left for Germany.
It will definately be a memorable occassion. When we got to the church service to get ready for the baptism, we realized that the baptismal was empty and church was starting in 15 minutes!! Since we didn't want to have to reschedule because it's hard to get my parents to be in town for more than two weeks in a row, the pastor decided to do it at the end of the service and see how full we could get it during the service. With the faucet turn on a "fast trickle", we knew that would take too long. So, Roger and the Youth Pastor hooked up a garden hose to the bathroom and started filling buckets and trash cans to pour in the tank. If you listened real carefully, you could hear the water running during the service. We had practically every staff member apologizing to us for the miscommunication and bending over backwards to make it happen. Brittany was relieved to finally be in the baptismal with WARM water and her grandpa by her side. It was a very touching moment. We are very proud of you, Brittany!!!
