School Walk-a-thon

Friday our school had our annual fundraiser walk-a-thon. We had it outdoors at a park. The morning started out cool and wet (after the huge storms the night before). The sun eventually came out but it remained cool and very windy. There were puddles everywhere and mud and some of the kids went home with mud all over them (some even slipped and fell in the mud). Cooper and I went and helped. We marked their cards when they completed a lap around the 0.6 mile track.
Thank you, in advance, to all of you who supported the kids in this school fundraiser. This is the biggest one that the school does and we usually raise about $20,000.
Dawson was a little go-getter. He ran most of the time and didn't even want to stop for lunch. He ran 12 laps! Jamie walked 9 laps, Brittany did 16 and Taylor did 11. The student that blew everyone out of the water was a little 6 year old kindergartner that RAN over 25 laps!! Needless to say, she has run in several races and holds the record in MO for her age group! She is like the energizer bunny that keeps going and never stops.
