Taylor, our oldest, turned 16!! His dream finally came true when he passed his driver's test (on the second try). Congratulations!!
Taylor wasn't going to get a class ring because he didn't want to spend the money. Then, Roger did some carpet for a guy who wanted to trade services and he owned a jewelry store. So Taylor got a "free" ring. He picked the red stone just because he liked the color even tho' his birthday is not is January..jpg)
We gave Taylor a box of Pop Tarts for his birthday...oh yeah, and some money to put towards a car someday. He has his eye on a 1999 white truck that someone needs to sell for their son who moved to China. He is finally officially employed!! He starts this Wednesday at Subway (part-time) right across the street from Roger's shop and he is also getting a job at Hy-Vee in the kitchen area. Welcome to the work force, son!!
Taylor had a big birthday/swim party on Friday night with about 25 kids from school and church. The night wouldn't be complete without throwing the birthday boy in the pool!!
We are very thankful for our firstborn and remember back to when he was born, not sure how things would turn out with his bilateral club feet. But 16 years and three surgeries later, he can run with the best of them and nothing gets in his way. He has been running trying to keep in shape for basketball in the fall at the public school. We are proud of you, Taylor, even though we don't see "eye to eye" on everything these days!

Happy Birthday, Taylor! Our son, Tad, just got his license. I get nervous riding with him and he doesn't understand why?!
