High School Football

Friday night was our first family outing to a Blue Springs High School football game. It was Blue Springs North against South!! So, pretty much all of Blue Springs was there! Friends told us to go early and we thought we did. But when we got there 30 min. before the game, parking lots were full, ticket lines were LONG, and the bleacher seats for both sides were full. It was going to be tough to find 6 seats together. Since we had already paid admission, we didn't want to just stand at the fence all night so we went to one of the end zones and sat on the hill. It was pretty good seats since we were up high, but the other end zone was pretty far away. Since our kids are not in the public schools, we were pretty neutral (if that's possible). Since we live on the South end of Blue Springs, we decided to cheer for them..... North came in pretty confident since they beat Rockhurst last week (which never happens), but let's just say that South dominated the game, 34 to 3! It was a great night for the family and we are going to do more games like this since we are working in the youth group now. Go Jaguars!!
