Last weekend, I (DeeDee), helped my sister move up to Chicago to be near her fiance. It was a great girls weekend - we left at 6 am on Friday and drove her car packed with what she will need for the next 8 months. We made it to Chicago in 8 1/2 hours and just in time to sign the lease. Then it was unpacking and settling in. She is sharing an apartment with 3 other girls from Moody. Of course, our weekend consisted of a big trip to the grocery store to stock up and a trip to Target to get some basics (including a vaccuum cleaner). We enjoyed cooking her first meal in the apartment and Greg graciously joined us! :) On Saturday morning we walked to the Farmer's Market that covered two city blocks and was full of fresh flowers, homegrown fruits and veggies, musicians playing in the streets and beautiful weather!! What fun!! We also did a little wedding planning, of course. She will stay in Chicago until about April or May and come back home sometime before the wedding for the LAST time!! I can't believe my little sister is getting married!!!!
