Dawson's Heritage Day

Dawson's first grade class had Heritage Day this week. His teacher does this every year and teaches the kids about what heritage is and lets them talk about their's. Each student was to bring an heirloom item from home and then I went and helped take old fashioned pictures of the kids with their heirloom. These pictures will then be used as part of their Christmas present to us parents (I'm not supposed to know that). It was so much fun and the kids really enjoyed dressing up! Dawson is holding a ring that his great-great-grandpa made in his jewelry store many years ago.
