Arrival from China

Jamie in her new room with a gift basket that we prepared for her, complete with a Chiefs shirt, journal, book on Missouri, English dictionary, Bible, US map and many other goodies. She brought gifts for all of us from China, also.
Jamie arrives off of the airplane after flying for over 20 hours!

Our newest member of the family is here!! Jamie flew in last night from China at 10 pm. The whole family met her as she got off the plane. We made a welcome poster with her name on it so she would know who we were. We took a crash course in Chinese characters and wrote some on the sign. We even tried to say a few words in Chinese. It's a good thing she can speak a little English or we would be in trouble. We need to work on our Chinese a little more......ok, ALOT more. Jamie came with only 2 suitcases for the year - of course, they were over the weight limit. We got home about 11:30 pm and gave a quick tour of the house and put our kids to bed so they could get up nice and early for school - they didn't want to miss any school yet since they just started on Monday.
This morning I took Jamie up to school to show her around. She will start tomorrow on Thursday. She is still trying to get over jet lag (China is 13 hours ahead of us).
