This probably got your attention, eh? Well, we are proud to announce that we will be adding to our family very soon.......and it's a girl.........and she is from China!!! That's right, we are hosting a foreign exchange student for a year and she arrives tomorrow (Aug. 21st)!!
This all happened so quickly when we got a random, out-of-the-blue phone call wondering if we had ever considered this. After gettting more information and praying about it, we decided that the Lord wanted us to do this as a ministry and be a part of making a difference in a students life.
Her Chinese name is Si Liang Chen. She has decided to pick an American name while she is here, so she has picked, Jamie. She is 15 years old and her birthday is the day after Taylor's - how cool. She will go the Christian school with our kids and will be in the same class as Taylor. Brittany is pretty excited about having a sister, for a year, anyways.
We will have to keep you updated on our experience as the year goes on. Pray for Jamie as she comes to our country and learns about God, maybe for the first time.
