It's that time of year for turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, corn, green beans, rolls and pumpkin pie - except if you are a preschooler and all you want to eat is the bread!! We served Thanksgiving meal to all the preschoolers today. They looked adorable in their Indian and Pilgrim outfits!!
The elementary had their Feast on Friday and each class made a dish to contribute to the meal. Dawson's 2nd grade class made homemade cinnamon applesauce and each student got to try the apple/peeler/corer/slicer machine. There was also homemade bread, homemade honey butter, apple turnovers, etc. I helped serve again this year and Cooper was anxious to help wipe off the tables between each lunch shift.
Even the high school got to enjoy some of the left over goodies from the elementary feast and there wasn't much left over after that. They say that Taylor (in solid brown shirt) is one of the biggest eaters in the school and will go up and ask for seconds and thirds, if there is any!! It's no wonder that he is stil growing!
