"High School Musical"

The school play this year was Disney's "High School Musical". Taylor decided to do backstage stuff this year, but Brittany (who initially didn't want any singing or speaking parts) landed the part of Taylor McKessie, who was the president of the Science Club and was a major role. Not bad for a 7th grader!! Jamie was also involved as one of the "braniacs" and got to sing and dance right along with Brittany most of the time. DeeDee's sister, Michelle, surprised us all by flying in from Virginia just to see the musical! What a special treat!

This is the director, Mrs. Horine, who also played the role of Mrs. Darbus in the musical.

Here are the girls as members of the Science Club during the Decathalon.

Back up to the very first picture, this was part of the last scene, everyone wearing red. Here Brittany has on her lab coat. That is "Sharpay" to her left with the blonde wig on (she is only an 8th grader and did a GREAT job) and "Gabriella" is to Brittany's right in the the red dress. The ONLY sewing I had to do this year on costumes was making Gabriella's red dress for this finale.
