Dawson and Cooper helped make Resurrection Rolls on Saturday night. The dough was the "tomb" and the large marshmellow was "Jesus". We wrapped the dough around the marshmellow and then rolled in butter and then cinnamon sugar. Mmmm! We baked them in the oven for "three days" (15 min).
When they came out of the oven, they were supposed to be hollow on the inside - because Jesus wasn't in the tomb anymore!!! As you can see from the picture, some of them had split open and "Jesus" was spilling out all over. Some of them did work and were hollow inside (marshmellow kinda melts away inside). It was a good illustration, anyway.
For Easter lunch we had just our family and DeeDee's parents over. Brittany, again, made a FABULOUS Orange Stawberry Angel Food Cake Dessert!!
For lunch we had: stuffed chicken breasts, cheesy potatoes, roasted asparagus, fruit salad and cresent rolls.
While lunch was cooking, the kids opened their Easter Baskets that mommy made for them. Then after lunch we had our egg hunt inside because it is still too cold outside from our WINTER blast that has revisited us. Our poor tulips and flowering trees are having a hard time surviving the freezing temperatures and our fountain keeps freezing every night. I guess we got a little anxious for Spring this year!!!
